Delta Dawg

I don't like dogs and I swore it would be at least two years before "let" Michael get a puppy. Well, Michael went to Chicago for a week for an exciting accounting conference. I got lonely. Therefore, I decided I needed a puppy. Michael encouraged me to wait until after Europe to make a decision, which just further convinced me because European dogs are so well-behaved! It's awesome. So it had to be a good dog breed and a good dog and make people stay away from me when I go jogging. German Shepherd it was. She's not AKC registered (because I didn't care) but she is full-blood and healthy.
Delta

She's currently growing into her bark, and uses it frequently on fire hydrants, blenders, the vacuum cleaner, her squeaky toys, and noises she may or may not hear outside. Her biggest fears include... bundled up bed sheets.

She loves to be by our feet, especially if we're cooking.

Also loves shoes. She just lays on them and doesn't chew, so it's fine with me.

Anyways, I love her and she's the best puppy ever, even if you think you have the best puppy ever. And yes, I don't really have a life right now, I admit it.

Finally Home

So we had a couple of normal-ish weeks at home, then it was off to Europe with Dad, Mom, Katie, and Daniel. What a trip! I felt like I needed a vacation afterwards to recover.

We started out in Switzerland...

And then we made a short stop in the 3rd smallest country in the world, Liechtenstein. That's pretty much the whole country right there. The monarch lives in the castle on the right.

We then hopped on a train to Salzburg, Austria...

Annnd then on to Vienna...

Prague was next, and actually way prettier than I expected. I think it's because the name makes me think of a frog.

Next was Germany- Leipzig and Wittenburg...

And I just got tired, so I'm going to bed. I'll finish this stuff later.

new last name!

I still haven't gotten used to my new last name, although it takes less time to write then my old one. Somebody told me it sounded British.  I'm married! I love it.
The wedding was everything I wanted it to be and more. And there were so many people involved in making it that way... Michael and I felt so loved and special. It went by so quickly! Katie, my sister and Matron of Honor (she hated being called that because it made her sound old) told me to consciously make an effort to remember things because it would be a blur. Good advice.
The honeymoon was awesome. We stayed at the Le Blanc in Cancun and pretty much did as much nothing as possible. It was a 5-star all-inclusive resort, so we ate a ton and people waited on us. It made me wish a little bit that I was rich, but then I realized how fat I would be. I'm pretty sure I ate some form of steak almost every day.

This is Michael with the lunch buffet. Basically, you picked out anything you could think of and the chef cooked it right there.

Michael (aka Kermit the Frog) and our resort...

I think we were the youngest (and most fun, I'm sure) people at the resort. Almost everyone else was either rich and fat or rich and plastic. I saw way too many unnaturally ballooned lady-chests... yuck.
Overall, awesome trip. We got in late and went to bed, and the next morning I was a little disappointed to realize nobody was going to bring me breakfast in bed or a cold towel outside or make me whatever food I want. Oh well.

Ivan the Panda

The other day I saw a man peeing in the women's room and the stall door was wide open and I will forever be disturbed by that experience.  Nasty man.
Michael gave me a panda bear yesterday and his name is Ivan.  Ivan the panda bear.  He also goes by Mr. Panda.
I was so productive today... cleaned my room, did laundry, started refinishing a table.  Dad found an old table that someone was throwing out and I decided to refinish it and put it in my room.  It's a really cool table, and... old.  And sturdy.  So Michael and I started that tonight.  We're pretty awesome at it so far.  We may decide to go into the furniture restoration business.  Also, today I seriously considered undecorating my room from Christmas.  That's the first step.  The next step is actually finding the ornament boxes.  That's the tricky part- I have no idea where I put it.  It took me three days just to find my Christmas tree this year.  My family will never let me live that down.

My good friend Amy came in tonight and Katie started talking about childbirth again.  I missed most of that part of the conversation... thankfully.  I'll have babies some day (far far away), but I don't want to hear the nasty gross details about it just yet.  I mean geez, I don't wanna get talked out of it and end up adopting all my kids.

so ummm anyways...

Verse- "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." (Psalm 145:18)

treecicles

I've decided to take up blogging again.  I've liked it in the past.  It was useful in China and I found that some people actually read it.  Read it or not, but it's good outlet.  I have focus issues though, so I can't be expected to stay on track.  Just a warning.

So... today.
I walked to work (in my pj's) today because I left my car at church.  It was way colder than I expected and the trees were starting to turn into treecicles.  After a long hard day of doing nothing and watching tv and hanging out with two of my favorite kids (hard job, I know, but someone has to do it), I hitchhiked home.
There was still the problem of the car being stuck at church.  So Michael came to the rescue and took me out there and we found my car covered in ice.  I mean seriously, was it not like 70 degrees a few days ago?  How ridiculous.  Anyway, he chiseled the ice off my car so I wouldn't crash and die going home.
Christmas is in the process of leaving our house.  I hate this time of year- Christmas leaves and school comes and it's yucky and cold outside and you don't even have Christmas cheer to warm your spirit and the dread of the return of school makes your heart freeze over and turn black and die.  I hate school, by the way.  You probably couldn't tell.  Also I hate being cold.  I like black, though, just not as a heart color.  I like for my heart to be warm and... heart-colored.
I refuse to take down my Christmas tree or my sparkly snowflakes yet.  You can't make me.

Verse of the day: "We will lovingly follow the truth at all times- speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly- and so be more and more in every way like Christ..." (Ephesians 4:15)
